OUR STORY

From a Paris hospital to your nightstand.

How a labor & delivery nurse, a partner, two kids, and one quiet promise became Nooliva.

Act I — Paris, 2018

Three years in Labor & Delivery.

I was 24. My first job out of nursing school was in the maternity ward of a Paris hospital. Long shifts. Strong coffee. Tiny new humans every single day.

What I didn't expect was how often I'd be holding the hand of a mom who was crying, not because something was wrong, but because she had four more weeks until her next appointment, and her mind couldn't stop.

"I watched too many moms cry between appointments. I made them a silent promise. And myself one too."

Act II — Two years later

Then it was my turn.

When I got pregnant with our first, I assumed my training would be a kind of armor. I knew the science. I'd seen a thousand healthy ultrasounds.

It wasn't armor. It was a mom counting days on a calendar, just like everyone else. Refreshing the appointment app at midnight. Wishing I could just hear that little heartbeat one more time before falling asleep.

"Even with everything I knew, the silence between appointments was hard."

Act III — The search

What was on the market wasn't enough.

I tried what other moms were buying online. The package arrived two weeks late. Inside: a bare device. A folded instruction sheet in three languages. No gel. No pouch. No phone number on the box.

It worked, technically. But there was nothing about it that said "we made this for you." Nothing about it that felt like care. Just a piece of plastic from a marketplace seller.

"Nothing about it was made for moms. Nothing about it felt like care."

Act IV — Together

We built Nooliva from our kitchen table.

My partner and I started Nooliva in the smallest way possible — an Excel sheet, two laptops, and our two kids running circles around the dining chairs.

It took two years. Choosing the right probe specs. Sourcing real ultrasound gel. Designing a soft pouch instead of a plastic baggie. Writing a quick-start guide the way a friend would write it. Setting up a US warehouse so moms wouldn't wait three weeks for shipping.

"Designed by a nurse. Packaged complete. Made for the woman I was at week 11."

Act V — Today

No mom should wait alone.

That's our promise. From our family to yours.

Every BabyHeart kit ships from our US warehouse, complete with gel, pouch and batteries. Every order comes with 60 nights to try it at home. Every email gets a real human reply, often from me.

If you're reading this between two appointments, wondering if you should bring the heartbeat home — yes. You should.
