How BabyHeart Works
How BabyHeart Works
BabyHeart™ uses gentle Doppler ultrasound — the same technology obstetricians have used in clinics for over 50 years.
The probe sends low-power sound waves into your belly. They bounce off your baby's heartbeat and come back as a clear, audible signal through the built-in speaker.
It's the same principle as the doppler at your prenatal appointments — FDA-cleared (K180419), and designed for safe at-home use.
How to use it
How to use it
First-time setup: insert the batteries (included).
Then, every time you want to listen — three steps:
- Apply a small amount of gel to your lower belly, below your navel
- Turn on the device and gently move the probe in low, slow circles
- Listen for the soft whoosh of your baby's heartbeat through the built-in speaker
You'll hear it best from week 10 onward. If it doesn't come through right away, breathe, move the probe slowly to a different spot, and try again — most moms find it gets easier with each session.

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers
Is BabyHeart safe to use at home?
Yes — BabyHeart™ is FDA-cleared for safe at-home use. It uses gentle Doppler ultrasound, the same technology obstetricians have used in clinics for over 50 years. Apply a small amount of gel, follow the instructions, and listen as often as you'd like.
That said, BabyHeart is not a medical device. If you have any medical concerns about your pregnancy, always reach out to your healthcare provider — BabyHeart is meant to complement your prenatal care, never replace it.
When can I hear my baby's heartbeat?
Most moms hear their baby's heartbeat from week 10 onward, when the heartbeat becomes strong enough for at-home detection. Some moms hear it as early as week 9; for others, it can take until week 12 — and that's completely normal.
If you're earlier than week 10, give it a few more days. The heartbeat is there — sometimes it just takes patience to find it.
What if I don't hear anything?
Take a breath — this is more common than you might think, especially before week 12. The baby is small, and finding the heartbeat takes patience and a steady hand.
Try moving the probe slowly in low circles below your navel. A bit more gel can help. If you've tried for 5–10 minutes and still nothing, pause and try again the next day. Most moms find it gets easier with each session.
If you have any concerns, reach out to your healthcare provider — they're the right place to check on your baby's wellbeing.
How fast will I get my kit?
Every BabyHeart™ kit ships from our US warehouse, typically within 24 hours of your order. Most US deliveries arrive within 4–5 business days, with free shipping included.
Once your order ships, you'll get a tracking link by email so you can follow it to your door.
What if it doesn't work for me?
You have 60 nights to try BabyHeart™ at home. If it isn't right for you — for any reason — send it back for a full refund. Free returns, no questions asked.
We mean it. Sabrina built this kit for moms like you, and if it doesn't deliver what you hoped for, it's on us — not on you.
Why is BabyHeart different from other dopplers?
A few reasons. BabyHeart was designed by Sabrina, a former Labor & Delivery nurse from Paris who became a mom herself. It ships as a complete kit — doppler, ultrasound gel, soft pouch, batteries — with nothing extra to buy.
Every kit ships from our US warehouse (not overseas), and you get a 60-night risk-free trial with free returns. Most dopplers don't include the gel, ship from overseas, and offer 30-day returns at most.
We built BabyHeart for moms, not as an Amazon listing.
